Brand Highlight – Baa Baa Baby
Earlier this year we welcomed Monique the founder of Baa Baa Baby into the studio. Monique had a vision to change the approach to child health consulting. After many years working as a qualified child health nurse and within the health industry she noticed a gap in the market for mobile parenting services. Monique is the very first private, self-employed child health nurse in Western Australia. Her business Baa Baa Baby offers parenting services and solutions which empower parents and help fulfil parenting needs with care.
When developing the brand identity for Baa Baa Baby, we really took into consideration Monique’s mission and the target market of her services. It was important that parents felt a connection with the brand, and that they would feel cared for, protected, supported and understood. We developed various concepts involving both illustration and digital design which expressed warmth, empathy, and happiness all with a soft, child-like touch.
After a few tweaks we finalised Baa Baa Baby’s brand identity. Our competitor research assisted with our final decision on the colour palette. We wanted the stray away from using solely pastels, and opted for a mint green colour with a complimentary palette of a deep blue, mid-grey and a muted yellow and pink. With connotations of feeling calm and indications of her child sleeping solutions we believe our branding has captured essence of her business. We have consistently communicated the brand across Baa Baa Baby’s digital channels including their website (which has just launched!) and social media.
