Sommer Electrical | Branding and Website

In 2018, Jesse from Sommer Electrical Services reached out to Of Note in need of a new website, rebrand, and photography to match his growing business. Providing a professional and consistent brand identity across various communications platforms that accurately presented Sommer Electrical to potential clients; both residential and commercial was Jesse’s focus.

Having worked with Kirsty, owner of Of Note personally before, we were the perfect choice to partner with Jesse on his brand evolution. Kirsty had been chosen by Jesse and his wife Kirsty to photograph their wedding and a maternity shoot before their bundle of joy joined their family.

Over the few months working together, the Of Note team rebranded Sommer Electrical’s logo and style guide to evolve the look and feel of Jesse’s brand. Our aim was to create a visual aesthetic that matched Jesse’s professional reputation for quality workmanship in both the residential and commercial sector. After meeting with Jesse and receiving a brief of his wants in his visual branding, our team provided a suite of options for Jesse to review. After agreeing on a final look and feel, Sommer Electrical's brand was ready to be finalised and rolled out to the next stage of the rebranding;

We selected Squarespace to build Sommer Electrical’s website on due to it being easy to update from an administrative point of view as well as being highly regarded by search engines.

The final stage in Sommer Electrical’s rebrand was photography. A new shoot was important for us to finalise the aesthetic of A key point of difference for Jesse is his friendly and personable approach, and we wanted to portray this in his website through the use of real-life photography showing Jesse at work in his progressional domain. Although the use of stock photos can sometimes create a beautiful aesthetic, we wanted to show Jesse’s approachability and integrity, standing behind his workmanship personally. The evolution of Sommer Electrical has been a project the Of Note team are extremely proud of.
