Junior Graphic Designer

Casual Position - Approx 15 hrs per week

We’re on the search for an insanely talented, downright lovely and donut-obsessed graphic designer to join our team. If you’re someone who is just starting out in your graphic design career and are eager to learn on the job with like-minded creatives, then we’d love to hear from you.

The Junior Graphic Designer is required to provide graphic design support to the Of Note team in a well-organised and timely manner. You will work on a variety of tasks under the supervision of a Senior Designer to produce high quality outcomes. In this role, you should be highly creative and have an eye for detail. If you’re passionate about design and eager to learn more, we’d like to meet you. Your goal will be to create impactful designs that capture the clients creative brief and represent the Of Note aesthetic.


  • Understand project requirements and concepts

  • Project research and ideation

  • Produce final design solutions (like logos, graphics, flyers, promotional material)

  • Collaborate with team members to launch projects

  • Use feedback from other designers to improve


  • Organisational and time management skills

  • Willingness to learn new skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload

  • Discretion and confidentiality

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Experience and understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop)

  • Must be available to cover annual leave over December 2019/January 2020 period


  • BA in Graphic Design or related field

  • Experience with web and online software (Squarespace, Mailchimp, Wordpress)

  • Basic understanding of CSS and html

  • Understanding of printing techniques & document set up

  • Illustration & hand-lettering skills 

  • Interest in photography & styling

  • Experience with Adobe Lightroom and photography editing

  • Social media savvy
